Day One: Morning

[Minoshia]

Blood ran down his face, glistening on his skin. Minoshia let it meltinto his cheeks, sliding onto his lips he attacked it with his tounge, tasting the familiar blood of his family. Blood from familiar friends was much les satisfying then that of innocent victims, the Konat was sure of that. The rush wasn't even close to equalling what he had felt back in the museum on Earth, when he crushed that women's skull between his palms and her brains and blood had shifted like the magma in a volcano and ruptured upwards onto his torso and face.

He felt it happen, but he didn't know if Tapion had noticed. His eyes burned as dark in color as the red ooze covering his face. He lifted his sleeve and wiped the blood away calmly, smiling at Tapion. The older warrior gave back a questioning smirk, slightly confused by how the event hadn't caused the young child to be grossed out in any sense of the word.

The streak running down his vision was running stronger then ever, pulsing across his left iris. The blood red eyes of the young prince had begun to deepen to black around the edges, Minoshia was grabbing at every small bit of sanity he could reach, hoping it would be enough, that it could overcome this minor adrenaline rush.

Then it happened, a whirlwind of the calm, the pulsing attack of the streak wore down to the norm, and the black faded from his eyes. Minoshia came back from the brink, and felt added weight to his shoulder. He looked at his brother, smiling back at him, the most perfect smile. At that moment, Minoshia didn't want to move. He wanted to sit there forever and bake in the undeniable warmth that was emanating from the brothers, this emotion enveloping them. The Konat couldn't put a finger on what he was feeling, something he hadn't experienced since he was a toddler in his home land. This simple action of comfort had given him a stronger glimpse of hope then any amount of anger, rage or blood lust. At that moment he realized one thing. He needed his brother. Minoshia reached out and hugged his brother with all his might, the two rolling onto the grass and laughing. The younger Konat began to realize what this feeling was, he thought it might even be love. Was it permanent, was his curse gone? He doubted it. He probably wouldn't feel love again for another millenia. The warriors would still feel their pain, Minoshia would still shed blood. But in this moment, when everything was perfect, the younger warrior didn't want to kill anyone. It was a notch in his belt he would never forget, this Love.
