The sayians were clearly more powerful and yes they did usually(almost always) end up being the main focus of all the major fights but to say something like no nonsayians contributed to fights after the sayian saga is kind of ignorant(no offense). DBZ had an entire supporting cast of characters that although some may not have been exactly main characters each and every single one of them certainly had a purpose and most certainly at one point or another made a difference.
Not really. Sure, Krillin died so that Goku got SSJ. Piccolo pwn3d #17 for a bit. Tien held Cell at bay. But Krillin didn't kill Furiza, Goku did. Piccolo never killed #17. Tien didn't kill Cell. Every single major death in the series after a certain point is done by saiya-jin. And it's lame.

Oh no you didn't...you didn't just say that...
Anyone remember Piccolo, was he not a merciless killer in dragon ball who lived alone and only thought of plots to murder goku so he would be able to conquer the world? Now if my memory serves me correctly did he not eventually grow attached to Gohan in a fatherly type role, eventually befriends some of the Z warriors, and also end but fusing with Kami in order to attempt to save the world? Yeah that's called character development right there.[/quote]
And is it not incredibly cliche and boring? Super muscular non-emotional guy gets in touch with his softer side by training a young boy, then gives his life to protect the young boy. Boring. It's been done. But yes, that is one of the better examples of a dynamic character throughout the story. Piccolo and Vegeta are perhaps the only two, and even then they're not all that interesting.
You probably think Sephiroth or Cloud is incredibly deep and emotional too.
Quote:Although I can't exactly justify this one I can defend it by saying that Akira once said in an interview that the super sayian gene was one that is passed down and once someone becomes a SSJ they're child(only if they were conceived after the transformation) would be able to achieve it much easier. Thus the reason why Trunks and Goten got it much easier than their fathers.
Yeah, I know. It's still dumb.
Quote:Gohan giving up fighting to do school. Dumbest plot move ever. I mean, hell. You just saved the universe. You are potentially the strongest person, like, ever. So what do you do? You go to high school and stop training.
Quote:This was not a dumb move at all, it was a realistic one. Lets remember that in all the time you don't see in DBZ(the first four years of gohans life, the year and a half in between the end of freiza saga and when goku comes back, the 7 years between cell and buu) gohan was always studying and doing school work, if you compair the time he worked for his education and the time he spent fighting obviously the education time would greatly out weight his training time, and once Cell was defeated and Gohan was officially the strongest fighter to ever live, what purpose was there to continue training? Absolutely none, except for maybe his own enjoyment which he did occasionally.
Tragedies are befalling the earth left and right. The previous "defender of justice" (Goku) decides to stay in Heaven. None of your flunky friends are strong enough to even lick your foot. I really don't see how deciding to continue training is any more realistic than deciding to go back to school.
