I understand perfectly what you're saying. I did read your post.
The things a Medium ship can use that a Small ship can not are the CMLP, the Shot Put, and the Gravity Well.
The Gravity Well is the big difference here. Your ship can be faster than a bat out of hell and it doesn't matter if the Medium ship you're fighting turns on one of those bad boys. And, in a situation like that, the ship with better armor (Medium) and more weaponry (probably the Medium ship), will probably be the one to win.
If you think Small ships are better, period, that's fine. No one's going to say your opinion is wrong (since its an opinion), but we're going to change things just because you think they're unbalanced. Its not like we've never balanced an RPG before.
However, we'll be adding new stuff to ships as we think of them, and your opinions and ideas very well may help shape what kinds of upgrades we add.
