?And you know?? Bujin hiccupped, causing him to stop mid-sentence. He frowned, looked up at his Saiya-jin friend, and continued, ?I can?t remember what I was about to say.?

Celipa shrugged and flicked a few stray peanuts from the top of the bar. Bujin chuckled and slapped her on the shoulder, not even considering the fact that she could possibly have lost interest in his elaborate, yet totally made-up war story. Just as he was about to continue, however, a familiarly painful buzzing enveloped his mind. As few scattered voices were sounded softly in the background. They seemed to be displeased with something, and if they really were just figments of his now-drunken imagination, it was doubtful that they knew what they were shouting about. Bujin sure as hell didn?t.

Looking up, the small man saw something that didn?t belong there. Instead of seeing the happy bartender with a red vest standing there, he saw a happy man in a chicken suit. The buzzing increased in volume as the bottles behind the enormous chicken gradually turned into cartoon-like pigeons singing something about popcorn. Bujin shook his head, but to no avail. The annoyingly harmful sound remained, and the chicken-man tried to ignite a conversation with a single cluck.

?well, that?s messed up, Rae inserted, her voice fluttering with laughter, You really ought to stay away from booze.

Bujin winced and slammed his head on the bar. Rae was a friendly enough voice, but that was all she was. Right? Bujin had never seen her before. She wasn?t a person. She was an idea. The blue man gritted his teeth. Was this really the alcohol kicking in, or was it his overly-vivid imagination? The buzzing got louder. And louder. Louder still. Finally?

The noise stopped, and was replaced with the sound of Celipa?s voice.

?Are you?okay?? she asked, sitting up in her chair and voicing genuine concern. Bujin raised his head, and looked around. The bartender seemed to have lost his chicken suit, and the birds returned the bottles.

?Yeah?yeah, I?m fine,? he hiccupped again, the rush of gas hurting his chest a bit, ?It?s?just a painful memory.?

?I bet,? she clicked her tongue, ?Okay, so you were charging the front lines on a pony, right? What happened then??

Yeah, Bujin, Rae commented teasingly, What happened?

Bujin sighed, and struggled off of his stool.

?Maybe?another time. I need to get out of here.?
