Once I thought something similiar about a girl but it turns out she was staring at something behind me, every single day. Her eyes were real deep and meaningful so I thought she was gazing at me lovingly.

Also, think of it this way. Do you always like every girl you look at? I've stared at girls and not been remotely interested in them.
