Energy Control is already here, Mowgli. It's known as Dark Ki.
Also, I think to give nontransformers the edge that a Super Saiyan or Super Namekian would have, they need a powerup that corresponds with that. Something along these lines:
Unlocked Potential - Humans/Nontransformers only. Unlocked by training with Guru on Namek or by an Emotional Trigger, nontransformers earn this power-up by learning to focus their energy and then, at last, learn to use it to unlock their reserves of energy that have been dormant for many years. This is, in essence, the same process that a Super Saiya-jin or Super Namekian would go through when unlocking their next tier of power. Their appearance would change only slightly in that their hair would spike up, but remain the same color.

Unleashed Potential - Humans/Nontransfomers only. Can only be earned through extensive quality roleplaying, or awarded by staff in a staff saga. This would be the nontransformer's answer to Super Saiya-jin 2 or Ultra Namekian.
