Nothing to add here except one thing.
Reijin hadn't been around his Saiyan brethren after his early childhood years and went through some training that helped him focus his mind. He obviously has that tiny "saiyan rage" that wants to affect him, but he's learned to focus that. His "Saiyan battle lust" is more displayed by his determination to accomplish his goals and he lusts for the actual competition and the following of said goals, not just mindless destruction.
