Where do your moves come from?

Kaden Wrote:One of these days, Ashe. One of the days.

EDIT: You must have thought of some moves you want Ashe to have eventually.

I absolutely know what moves I want her to have. I have commented to you many times how remarkably similar the moves you make for Kaden are to the moves I built Ashe to use. I think she'll be like a mix of Neji and the non-healer side of Orihime (the shield rejection type) but there's a few other ideas I've got as well (especially if I get to wish for another Ability, but I doubt that'll happen soon).

I've really enjoyed writing her as an almost completely powerless human with no special fighting skills to make up for it. So I mean, I'll get to it, probably soon (due to story reasons) but I'm not in a super hurry. She fits a completely niche role in the rpg at the moment that I don't think anyone else is even in, and I really like that. It does cause for some difficulty, but its still interesting to see just what a powerless human would do in these types of situations with no awesome fighting skills or gunsmanship.

I know you mentioned it to me, but I figured some of the other people reading the thread were out of the awesomeness loop.

Mine come from an understanding of Orion's past and who he is. He's a saiyan and a full frontal attacking sort of guy, so most of his abilities rely on power (Final Flash), combat situations (Fusion Shields, Shockwave) but some are a little more cerebral and focus on Orion's intent to survive no matter the obstacle (eg. Subjugation). I haven't really stolen many (except Final Flash) and I'm constantly looking at ways for Orion to inventively use energy.

Talking more along the lines of what you guys are saying, I've always imagined Juno as a "control" type of character. That hasn't really come to fruition yet in my head, but as I get more techniques, it'll start becoming more apparent. I envision him sort of as a "blue" colored character, if we're talking like in Magic terms, haha. He focuses on deception and mental strength.

I tend to attempt to be 'that unique guy with moves so awesome that's how they remember his character', so I tend to cook up a lot of nice techniques out of the site by either combining, dividing or re-inventing phenomenons of techniques from all sort of genres. Then I'll bounce ideas off Vad then scrap them because I don't believe they'll work well enough anyway. I've had like what 10 techniques approved and I haven't got one single one of them not pre-made by the site. >_>

I think I'm all about constant action. Sort of a reckless, firing on all-cylinders, kind of attack. Everything is a weapon for Alex, literally, and his Ki Absorption technique, and subsequent custom technique Siphon, allow him the opportunity to fuel his constant need for energy.

Vad Wrote:Mine are based off metal based terms and sword based combat. Hailstorm is designed after a fragmentation grenade as well.

Now that I'm able to think about it, I must say that most of what I do with Vad is based of the idea that he's a front lines soldier. I build him to be at the head of the charge, whatever that may be. I tailor customs I give him to help him do that.

Karin's always been a reckless fighter. She doesn't believe in killing, and the way she fights mostly reflects this. However in fights she is brutal, and she relies on her speed to dish out most of her damage. I've always had moves that I could see being used in combos or during close quarter combat, because Karin isn't the type to stand back and fight with her ki.

Out my ass. Really. My ass is very creative.

Edit: Okay technically there was influence from Naruto(First Hokage specifically) on Deep Forest explosion and A satircal webcomic whom's name I forgot heavily influenced Ubia. But besides that, completely out the ass.

There's Retane... and then there is Maleficus Nova.

I initially asked for what would be needed to Make Nova...Retane.. Move wise... I think the answer ... Was Like 5 More Abilities then I got.

I try to adapt part of Retane... while making it Mal's own. And I sit there and think about what could help assist Tamsin or other teammates. I find I have ALOT of ideas... but all need techs.. lol

There's so much innuendo there I almost can't believe it was unintentional.

My moves generally have always been more influenced by DBZ than anything, recently though I've considered Kyle Rayner as an influence, hoping to use ki that would be less constricted to balls, swords and beams...we'll see if that can work though.

Because of Regeneration and Elasticity, I hope to use Majicka's body more as a weapon then outright Ki attacks. I mean, I'll have the normal energy wave and a few other attacks, but I want her unique biology to have more focus then what Karin's move list was like.

Super Buu/Kid Buu/Fat Buu are of course huge influences, though. When I was planning this character I went back and watched a few fights to see what made them tick as fighters, to see how I could try to use the some strategies, just twisted to my own vision. I have a list of pretty neat attacks already, but they all require things I don't have yet. (Shapeshift, Body Size Control, just for two examples).

I don't like outlandish Ki attacks, not to sound insulting, but I find them to be pretty annoying. I try to keep my abilities simple, yet able to be used in a multitude of situations. Oh, and I'm totally keeping V.A.T.S for Majicka.

OK/... Someone tell me what this V.A.T.S. is and what so good about it?

And will the REAL Super Buu(Greg) Stand up and let her know the most awesome move... that might actually need Shape change now

Mal Nova Wrote:OK/... Someone tell me what this V.A.T.S. is and what so good about it?

Pulled from her roster.

Quote:V.A.T.S.

Using the talents she obtained from Afterimage the youth performs a altered version of the technique. As she performs the afterimage her perception is enhanced as the world appears slower to her from the techniques altered speed flow. This allows her after the usage of afterimage, to have her reaction time better, dodge attacks with much greater efficiency, and aim for targeted points with much greater success. While the world appears slower for Karin, it is NOT actually slowed at all, it is simply the speed flux after the use of Afterimage. To other individuals it just appears as if she is moving with incredible precision and skill. This technique does not actually make Karin any faster, as she relies on the usage of Afterimage to make this technique possible. Because this technique depends on the use of Afterimage it is only able to be used a few seconds after she performs said technique, and is counter able if her target uses Afterimage or Combat teleportation.
