Talking as someone who has both, if you don't mind the subscription, it's all down to checking out exclusives on both consoles, check out which controller you like best and have a hard think about it.

The XBox failure is rather low now these days (at least with the Elite) and even if it does fail, you get the broken part fixed immediately and shipped back. I got 2 hdd because one couldn't save Dead Rising and I sold the other one while keeping the one I got free of charge.

My elite broke after about a year. Yeah they fixed it for free, but that ain't great for an improved rendition of a console.

So my buddy bought that Halo 3 Custom elite deal a few years back. His red ringed not to long ago. I can fix the red ring problems myself so i offered to fix his. He was in denial and said Icould just have the hting because he went out and bought a new xbox.

I have his halo edition hooked up to my tv right now running like a charm and i plan to put a little more money into it and supe it up quite a bit.

So far my total cost of repairs to his 500 dollar system is

$9.99 plus tax

I got my XBOX over a year ago, and it came with wireless, if I remember correctly.

Tbh, I've only had one Red Ring of Death problem since I've had it, and it came at the very end of my warranty, so I was able to get it fixed for free. Otherwise, I've loved it. Whatever you do, get the two-year warranty, and it should be fine.

Or do like I did and take the time to learn how to fix it yourself. The RROD problem is such a easy fix although if your under warranty fixing it yourself will void said warranty.

But honestly who cares because they do pretty much the same thing I do to fix it.

You're method would leave a person fucked if the problem was actually malfunctioning hardware. Also with the modifications the 360 tends to overheat more often than regular.

Yeah..No. I'm not saying crack open your x box and play around. I studied how to fix my problems. And there's quick ways of telling if its the hardware malfunctioning or the chip set. I'm very capable of fixing overheat problems.

Now what you mentioned about modifications overheating more often maybe for other people they do but not for my other modified box. I integrated a liquid cooling system into my old core system thats powered by a outside source to avoid overheating and sucking to much power out of the system. Then i changed out the built in fan setup with a custom job that woks better .

The link above is a cooling system almost like the one im using. Be warned doing this kind of shit gets expensive as hell. You could by 2 xbox core systems for what it cost me to mod one lol

That cooling system sounds/looks awesome, honestly, but like you said its EXPENSIVE to do shit like that. Plus that seems like a helluva a lot of work just to play some video games. lol

I agree with your last statement though. Who knows, maybe the next generation of consoles, whenever that happens, won't need to be modded. -shrugs-

You guys talk about the xbox breaking down as if it should be acceptable. I've had my ps3 for what, I think nearly three years now, and I've never had any problems with it. A system shouldn't ever break down as easily as a xbox does, and even if it's lower now, it's not acceptable in my opinion.

Haha led mods are the easiest shit lol You can do um on controllers fairly easy I gots a custom orange controller that has blue led's cuz im a huge Auburn Football Fan lol

@ Majicka: PS3 have had overheating and freezing problems too. Don't hate the system hate the man.

Edit: Since the light thing is easy, would I be able to get red LEDs and make people believe they're 360's have fucked up when they're really not?
