I'm hoping it's not another Matrix Online. But the fanbase for this is even bigger, especially in Japan - to fuck up would be to miss a massive opportunity. Nonetheless, I'll be trying it out if/when it arrives in English, just because I've always speculated on how a DBZ-based online game might play.

Nope, sure don't. But I did enjoy playing it even after they couldn't use the DBZ theme anymore... it was pretty fun.

I think the only thing i worry about for this MMO is the amount of immature children that it'll attract...

If the action/flight system in this MMO are anything like the one in Bid For Power, it will be a success.

All people fantasize about doing as a DBZ character is flying around and blowing shit up anyway. If that turns out to be the whole game, I will be a happy man.

I'm just hoping it'll have 'instances' (sagas) with stages to the battles that have their own particular objectives. (Like zomgz, the bad guy has targeted your weakest d00d! Weakest d00d, survive until time runs out!)

But I don't think this game will attract *too* many children. There'll be some, sure, but DBZ is an *old* show, even if it is ridiculously well known in Japan. Kids these days are way more interested in their Naruto and FMA and shit, imo >_>

If this is pulled off with any degree of finesse or talent, I will certainly be buying it.

Interesting. I too had pondered about such a MMO long before this. We`ll see how this turns out. But we shouldn`t get our hopes up, seeing that most DBZ games turn out to be preety bad.

Still, the developers have a good basis to work on, seeing that the MMO occurs a few hundred years after the events in DBZ. Let`s see how well they use that fact.

It'll totally make the game suck too.

DBZ just isn't DBZ if you aren't flying around a light speed smashing someones head into a moutain, then blowing up that part of Earth.

I think it'll be like a basic fight system, like on WoW or w/e.

"Akira Toriyama will not only be in charge of the character designs (like we mentioned previously), but over the story itself. Player's will be put into an authentic Dragonball world fully designed by Akira Toriyama."
