Warriors aren't bad, really. But they are very group oriented. My human one is protect spec'ed, so when I group with him I just hold the aggro. I've gotten to the point where I can pull and hold aggro off people 10 levels higher than I am. ^_^ I fuggin rock.

If you do a mage, try a gnome. They get an intelligence boost right from the start, which works great with the mana-dependent mage. A human works nicely with mages too, but you trade off a larger mana pool and better crit chance for better mana regen out of combat. Meh.

Em...what in the world are you talking about? You can do A LOT as a Druid, not only due to Druids being "jacks of all trades" but also beacuse they get invited to dungeons and raids often.

Also, if a Druid specialises in one talent category his abilities can quite match those of the regular classes. A druid can be a tank, DPS (basicly sort of a rogue), spellcaster or healer while other classes are much more restricted as to what path they can take.

While admittingly Druids are more looked for their healing abilities rather then any other talents, this is not a given. I also sometimes got invited to a party on the basis I could tank. I even had to take the role of a DPS once. However, it is true that in the end you will most likely have to take the route of a healer as those are required the most. But then again, if you wished to avoid healing you probably took a more specialised class in any case.

Overall, Druids are a fun class as they have a variety of jobs that they can take. There is also little people playing the Druid class, meaning you have a high chance of getting invited to parties. It has happened to me several times that there wasnt a single day when I wasnt invited to somewhere even once.

Not neccesarilly. Even Balance and Restoration Druids stand some chance in fights allthough admittingly they are not as efficient at it as Feral Druids or other classes.

I even said they'd get into raids easy ... so yeah. But druids cannot match the classes they imitate. That's ridiculous to say that. Bear form really can't compare with a warrior at all in a head on battle. Warrior charges, lays down dps, hamstrings, dashes off, intercepts, rinse and repeat. Druid is left either dead or entangling and running away in his cat form.

Why is it ridicolous to say? Like I said, if they specialise in a certain category they can match the skills of specialised classes. Lets take the warrior you took for example. A Feral Druid who specalises in the tank role can do preety much the same thing. He can even do "warrior" charges with a talent he gets in the Feral talent tree. Whereas the Bear/Dire Bear form allows him to match the armor which a warrior has. So yeah, he can match them.

Which brings me to that. It seems like druids were made specifically for WSG matches, as in they can run at 40% speed without interruption because they can revert to normal form, dispelling all slowing effects, and then back to their cat form in a half second.

I would say WSG was especially made for druids rather then the other way around. But yeah, their forms make them perfect flag carriers.

I know my stuff about the WoW classes. We just have different opinions on what fun is, apparently, cause I find druids extremely boring.

I'm tempted to get this game eventually, when I get a new computer and stuff, new internet.

My friend plays it, and he is a level 58 human warrior. He wants me to join as Alliance (because he could help me?)

What would you reccomend?


I would want something thats low matinence, meaning that I don't have to spend thousands of gold for a fun character.

I might get bored of being a warrior, because it seems they are always the same.

He recommended to me either a hunter or a rogue.

He also said I should be a night elf.

I'm a gnome warlock. I can solo a lot, but also do well in groups. I'm very cheap to pay for repairs, I get a free mount, etc. I'm a low cost character, which rocks for being my first;. However, they are a more advanced style character, depending on if you've played any MMO before. My Lock is now at 59 and can get to 60 as soon as I decide, but I just haven't yet.

Night Elfs are the best. They are the fastest race, besides Gnomes. They also have a stealth abilty as one of there starting moves. They go well with Hunter's and Rouge's. Warriors, and Paladins, eh... They get boring to me. It depends what you like really. Im a Hunter + Elf guy.

Edit: Also, Hunter's can wear Leather and Cloth. But once you level to 40 you can pay to wear mail. Like warriors. Also they can train for pretty cool weapons.

That's kind of like me. I love using the bows to get the cheap shots in while there running towards me, and when they get close I use my two handed sword and lay into them.

Srsly. Sound's like you want the same type of character as mine. Go Hunter+Elf.
