The Xbox 360 is supposed to be designed to stand up, only a knob wouldn't know that. Not only is it in the instructions but your xbox has rubber nobs on one end that are there so you can stand it up.

However Microsoft was too cheap to add in like a two dollar part that would protect the CD.
