Because it's a minor inconvienence because it's so easy to counter. It's not like you lose anything but a tiny amount of gold (compared to the shitloads you earn in the game) from the durability loss by going to the spirit healer.

"Minor" is defined by the person being inconvenienced. The person doing it just for shits doesn't get to make that judgment for them.

With all the pointless, time-consuming running around that is required on WoW, having to do it all over again because some jackass saw you is not "minor."

All classes have ways of transporting in the means of abilities and now with mounts at very early levels in very compact areas (lower level usually means more compact questing area), travelling is cut by a lot. If you really find it that huge an inconvienence, you don't go on a PvP server. It's really not that big of a deal.

That made absolutely no sense to me. STV, Southshore, Outlands, and Elwynn Forest are the hot spots on my server for my band of brothers. Saying Stratholme to me brings three things to mind.

The server name, the culling of strat, and the Stratholme dungeon in EPL.

There isn't a single person who's gone through STV and then hasn't come back to grief, even I have griefed my share in STV. All PVP'ers grief.

Case in Point:

I actually never went back to STV after leaving it until quite some time later, and it wasn't to gank.

Duskwood, on the other hand... I did, and that was because it was a contested alliance zone and thus the horde had no business there unless they were there to gank.

I have been known to ride my lock through Hillsbrad and just ride up to a group of lowbies farming yetis and just randomly fear them when they freak out, without actually killing anyone. Just drop in and fearbomb.

It's cause we remember, we remember how it felt to be ganked by those cheap motherfuckers. Level 60 sumbitch rogues who wouldn't fight you one on one, now they had to wait until you were attacking a mob and then they'd sneak in and stun you.

I'm merely suggesting that instead of focusing on PvE, restarting by going back to basics would be a good idea in order to become skilled at PvP. Cough.

That said, I am the king douche rogue of Silvermoon City on my server. I am the guy who finds the cyborers and simply annoy them until they're stupid enough to attack me. Once that's done, I vanish and open the fight on my condition.

I do however usually let lowbies be unless they attack me or piss me off (e.g. clearly call for help from level 80s then when they're all attacking me come in to try and help.)

I've even had a couple of cross-faction roleplaying sessions with me and my trusty band of brothers, before they all came to steamroll us. Luckily, horde cyborers aren't that adapt at PvP and usually only 3 times our force will bring us down or at least until the cybor-interrupt squad comes from their own faction, as they're usually able and ready PvPers as well with the thought 'red=dead'.

'Tis was in the old days though, before shit got stirred and I got @$!#'ed over by a banwave (botting). I just returned to WoW for the free anniversary week and maybe now with sub being buffed enough to actually be viable, I might return for real although I'd be returning to a server just about empty with a RP community so tightly closed you couldn't get a penny in there.

wow....I dont even play wow but this whole thing reminded me of something. Here in my hometown there are several kids who are live action roleplayers and after school they would meet in the park near by and roleplay with all their swords and weird costumes...

We would show up in full paintball gear with guns and they would charge at us as we unleased hell on them. We left with satisfaction of ruining their fun and takeing a few of their weapons hostage and they left with bruises and shame.

It makes me think about how some players on wow are from what you guys have said lol. Funny thng is those kids kept coming back and if even one of them could get lose to use and hit us with a sword we would return a weapon the next day. So in a way yeah...whatever im off topic and lost train of thought
