Namek in DBZ does have three suns. However, the Chubbs universe does not directly adhere to how the DBZ universe is set up. So beacuse it says two suns in the informational post, everybody believes that to be the case as far as Chubbs is concerned.

EDIT: Just to clarify, Ander is obviously aware that Chubbs does not follow the show directly. I was just trying to point out why everyone thinks it has two suns.

Wasn't it stated when Vegeta made it that his power took a nosedive creating it, or something to that effect? Hard to imagine it would be weak.

I mean, I'm hardly knowledgeable, but based on his reaction to it, I'd find it difficult to say he was in any way exhausted by creating the thing.

Vegeta goes from calm but slightly scuffed up to vein-foreheaded and sweating when he summons the ball and throws it in the manga.

He's also going "huff huff" in multiple panels after having summoned the ball - PRIOR to the beginning of his transformation, suggesting it took a lot of effort.

In the english translation (I have #2 of the big anthologies), Goku says "H-his power went down as soon as he made that weird light...!!"

There's several times in that fight where people do attacks that show that they take a lot of energy, yet after a few moments, they are back in their usual stride. That's a recurring theme through all of DBZ.

You're right; it isn't. However, what I was responding to was a claim about the series, not about Chubbs.

If people want it to be a nothing blast here, then okay. I'm not a mod, so it's not my decision in the end. But it shouldn't rest, as it does now, on a faulty understanding of how it was in the series.

Sage and Orion claimed that creating the false moon didn't faze Vegeta - that it, essentially, was easy and didn't take effort. I showed that that wasn't true.

If your intention is to claim that it ultimately didn't drain him in the long-term because of 'DBZ thematics', then I'm afraid you've gone beyond the scope of the question. But, as long as we're on the subject, I suggest looking at a few battles:

- While Vegeta stops sweating (I guess - he goes ape immediately) it's clear that it cost him power. In fact, the entire fight does. His battle with Goku drains Vegeta to the point where even Gohan is able to fight him. He does not get back on his 'usual stride.'

- Frieza against SSJ Goku starts off fighting evenly, but the battle becomes one-sided as Frieza begins to lose energy at a rapid pace.

- Piccolo starts off strong against Android 17, but eventually tires and starts to lose against 17's unlimited power supply.

- Cell gets a senzu bean from Goku because the fight has tired him out so much. It's suggested by Goku that it wouldn't be fair to fight Cell at that point because he's lost a lot of power. (This isn't the best visual example, but it is another instance of characters acknowledging the effect of lost stamina.)

There are many, many other examples.

So while it's clear that characters can keep fighting hard and going full-steam for a while, it's also just as clear that the drain of moves is a very real thing in the DBZ universe. Several battles are won and lost precisely because a hero or villain can't "get back on their usual stride." And even if someone recuperated stamina later on in a fight, it would be a false conclusion to say that their earlier actions took no effort.

Now, with that in mind: Vegeta's actions leave him panting. He is visibly strained. Goku EXPLICITLY states his power went down creating the ball. I'd say that these things combined are indicative of effort.

Vegeta is hit by the spirit bomb, which contains the energy of the entire planet. That's not simply growing weak from a fight, that's being hit with a massive attack that nearly killed him. Big difference.

The Frieza thing is true, although it's because he went up to his maximum power. Just like anyone, when you try your hardest, you grow tired more quickly.

The 17 one is comparing someone who has a unlimited supply of energy to someone who doesn't. I don't know what your trying to prove with that comment, unless your just saying Piccolo got tired? Because yeah, everyone in dbz gets "tired", it's just they can suddenly pull out huge bursts of energy out of nowhere to defeat someone who isn't tired, in the slightest.

I never said they don't get tired in DBZ. Or if I did, it's not what I meant. I meant in reality it has little effect, because somehow, even if they are exhausted, they still get the energy to win.

Edit: Unless they are Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, or really, any character that isn't a Saiyan, and thus, not important enough.
