Evidently Irelia is a hardcounter to Riven. If Riven tries to combo, you shut her down with the stun and chase her off. If Riven dashes in to stun you, your passive basically nullifies her stun in the laning phase till you get Tenacity where you then feel even less of it, so you chase her off again. I haven't tried this personally but I see a couple of high rated players do this every time.

Every time Nasus goes in for cs, he's getting silenced and spin-attacked. Shit hurts.

Nasus can hit Q way before he goes in for a CS. And Garens Q and E arent as painful as you think. Remember... Nasus is a tanky jackal. If it was Fizz however...three Q's and dead fish. THeres a big difference.

Ugh, never dash in to stun for harass. You use it to get out/avoid damage.

I wouldn't say Irelia is a hardcounter at all, but she's certainly strong against top Riven. Strong enough that playing top Riven against her isn't really worth taking Riven top because you'll spend more time poking at her and less time farming and Riven's strength is that she can do both at the same time against most champs at top AND escape ganks constantly. Same goes for Udyr. If I saw either of them going top against me in champ select, I'd swap to jungle riven if at all possible.

SO I've heard Cass is a good mid counter to alot of peole... Who are they? And why?

Cass can easily harass, safely farm, do a lot of damage, and 2 second AoE stun.

The people she doesn't "counter" are people who can also farm from a safe distance, such as Karthus, Malz, and Morgana. Honestly, I'm surprised people haven't been playing her as much lately. She's still super strong.

Really it depends on the support more than anything else. If they enemy team picks something like Janna + Ashe, then you know they have no healing, relatively low mobility and their only method of disengagement is dependent upon a skillshot. If I wanted to counter that lane, I would go for Taric + Corki, probably. Ezreal or Trist would also work. You have a quick engagement and can probably drop whoever gets stunned.

Conversely, if the enemy team is running something crazy aggressive like Leona + Graves, you can counter with Soraka + Caitlyn because of their good survivability and ability to farm at long range. Alistar also works in place of Soraka, in that instance.

Bot lane really ends up being more about countering a playstyle than a champion's kit. You still want to take someone who compliments that as best as possible, but it's a more nuanced thing than countering a solo lane.
