Meh, I'm just saying that I'm impressed with the others, and MK has been on for a while now.

Quote:Originally posted by Bojack I know I have definitely not spammed on the board more then ten times in the past 3 weeks. I don't think I spam much at all. I guess that could be argued, but personally I think I spam the boards probably the least of most members. In the past 3 weeks I've spent way too much time on the internet. I am on hours and hours every day. It's one of the good parts of being in college. You have so much free time. How many roleplays have I written. Eh... not many. The takeover saga was kind of paused for a little, so I honestly am not sure how many rp's I have. I'm starting them up again though with my Vegeta takeover. I'm sure the veterans here can vouch for me. I was here damn-near the beginning, and I have no plans of leaving till the end. I've spent nearly a 3rd of my life on this site... that's not something I take lightly. 2- I really don't know what this rpg is lacking. I have seen the site go through numerous changes, and all of them seemingly great advancements. I think just over time, it'll improve until it becomes an internet-god. 3- Being staff here isn't a right, it's a privilege, and with that said, I don't know if I deserve to be staff. I would be good at it though, if only for my knowledge of what has gone on here. I have been here for the long-run and have seen just was needs to be done, what has changed, and I have no doubt that great things are in the sites future. 4- As I said before, I have a lot of experience here at chubbs, and at online rpg's in general. I ran a few back in the day, have been a moderator for a few. Currently I don't do anymore... and I'd welcome the change.

To what 18 said, I do have ideas and can help out with updating and such. ut i expect to e doing something that I could alreday do in the eginning. If I ecome staff, I know i'll e treated almost like crap, probaly lower. Most likely the stuff will be medial work, but I will be better for it, and work my way up and learn from it to become better staff. None of us have what it takes to be staff right now, or eithe rjust don't have the time, if we did, we would have probably already proved our qualities before this and have been asked to be staff. This is showing our qualitites, and everygody has great qulaities, that can grow into great staffly qulaities.

Why the fuck did staff bother creating this thing if they dont need someone to be the grunt? Cause thats all the beginning staff member could be used for, unless they have special skills like coding.
I was being honest when I said Id put my heart into it. Im not being over dramatic Im stating truth, and something that means something to me. I never said my life was horrible and pathetic but it was bad and this site DID turn it around. You may not find value in helping people but I do. I have a purpose for being a staff member, whether you want to believe it or not. Im not a vet, never said I was one. Where are you getting that? Sinners make the best Saints

...the whole missing letters thing. I'm going to have to tell you the truth, you didn't stick out much through this whole thing to me. I'm sure you tried hard, but I dunno...

No, we don't need any of them to code. However, that does not mean we don't need a coder. I just know that they can't handle that one. So to the fields they go.
16, as for those updates, I am also on a break. Or supposed to be. At this very moment in fact I am supposed to be finishing getting the four loads of laundry folded and dinner ready for my gf since I was off today. This is normal for me to be on the comp blowing off my REAL responsibilities. I'm on vacation, and that leaves Rad to get to it. They missed one post. Go kill them. Seriously. We are not immaculate. We are not one hundred percent able on some things. There are times that we wait to see if anyone will get to it for a couple of days due to being busy with something else. Most of the time I get on and end up trapped doing something other than what I intended. This being a prime example. In fact, just the other day I got on when I got home from work. Yeah, something along the lines of trying to take out the trash and clean the kitchen, and I had the trash in my hand and was getting the office trash up. Bumped the comp. Next thing you know, I had to create a new Apprentice Final Ten board and add four specific members to it without adding a group. I had no clue how to do that, as it'd been awhile, and I spent the next hour ignoring what I was actually supposed to be doing to do that. ![]() "I'm gonna fuck that unicorrrrrn"

Normally I always have something to say, but if that is your mind made up, then stick with your gut. Just one thing, does that not mean as well that I didn't stick out as a bad thing?

TO SIXTEEN:
That's what I wanted to hear. However, that "one post" is one of many posts, and sometimes those five words for that one post have to be cut short when you are on your way out the door for work and had to deal with 20 five word posts while people are responding to them in real time and messaging you on aim for clarification. But that's what I wanted to hear. ![]() "I'm gonna fuck that unicorrrrrn"

Right now, not to be mean, but I?m thoroughly unimpressed with everyone! You expect ME to pick you to be over me, as staff, and all you can give are gross generalities about planets and new items. Then when asked what you can do to improve the site, all you can say it that its just great and there is nothing to change?
Be honest?each and every one of you merely signed up for ?The Apprentice? as something to do not because you REALLY wanted to be staff and had something to add. I?m hoping before this thing closes at least ONE of you ten will say SOMEthing to influence me. Give me at least ONE reason why you?re slightly better at not sucking then everyone else. C?mon, impress me PLEASE! ![]() Dante's Abyss 2007 Runner-Up

I'm not ready to rate them just yet...
Everyone so far has had pretty bland ideas and nothing specific to give on almost ANY topic. I want to hear an orginal idea from each of you. Something new and different you would personally do, if awarded a position on staff, to make Chubb's a better place. And some crap about 'a planet'. I'm talking original, like Rei's new buttons for the threads. Let's hear them... ![]() Dante's Abyss 2007 Runner-Up

Quote:Originally posted by Yamu An original idea... to play favorites: 1- Waffles are implemented into the recovery system... they work like a double-powered sensu bean. 2- A special taco ability which causes eveyone to become entranced by taco-goodness. Those within a 50 foot radius of the taco can smell it and are completely taken over by the amazing food But if you want an actual real personal cool awesome mega supa hypa great idea: a system in which the power of attacks is based off the person using it... and there is an actual system for determining strengths of attacks/how much damage they'd do... etc etc. Almost like a HP system, but not so concrete. I'd love to do an actual HP system, but it would be so difficult to do in an rpg such as this. This isn't necessarily something I would bring to Chubbs, just proof of the ideas I could bring in the future. As I said, something like this would be very very very difficult.

Quote:Originally posted by King Vejita I really don't think X's was an utter joke... If you claimed I abused my power, I think it was equally fair to say some of the other staff did as well. The only time I think I 'might' have abused it was near the end, right before some members decided my rpg sucked and tried to kill it, rather then leave peacefully. I talk to some of my old members from years ago and they all loved my rpg. Quite a few of them miss it actually. Hell, I was 13. I'm 18 now, and I feel I've matured quite a bit from those days. Yes there were points where I did things that were seemingly stupid, but people learn from their mistakes. I was brand new to the whole online rpg experience at the time anyway, and running that just helped me learn. The HP idea... I wouldn't call it stupid and noobish as much as unimplementable. It just plain and simple would not work at a chubbs-styled rpg. It was simply an idea to throw out, seeing as no one else could even think of a single thing to say.

Damn, if only you guys roleplayed as much as you post here.
FINAL TEN HF17 - Seems like a likable guy, and certainly a stronger member of the site. I just don't get the right kind of vibe from this guy. He did a fine job from what I remember, but I don't think it's enough. Lord Slug - Probably the most capable of us all. He's got the passion, the experience, and the ethic. The only thing he apparently lacks is time. If given that, I think he'd be a powerhouse in this competition. Pan - Another hard-worker, who will probably get very far in this competition. I'd say a definite Final Four contender. Guldo - Unfortunately, I have not dealt with him. Or, if I have, I've already forgotten. Garlic Jr - Decent worker. I don't remember too much else. Android 16 - I think he'll be another Final Four contender. From what I can tell, he seems to be a solid worker, and has a good attitude. Even though I haven't really collaborated with him much, he seems like he'd be a fine staff member. Krillin - Tries to give 100% at all times, but his lack of experience will probably nip him in the bud. Tapion - Good worker with a strong ethic. Metal Koola - Creative veteran who has plenty of great ideas. Good worker. Kid Buu - Always willing to give a little hand. His attention to detail is remarkable, as evidenced by his proofing of our Task 8 Project.

I missed King Vejita's rebuttal.
Quote:Originally posted by King Vejita By different perspective, I mean a completely different way to view things. From what I can tell, none of the staff members are anything like me. Not one bit. Does that necessarily mean I?m to be glorified, and praised on every mountain? Heck no. It just means I?m a bit different, and can therefore add that depth. A C note and a G note sounds great together, but it doesn?t quite have the beauty and depth of a full C chord (C, E, G). All three notes are different, but combined together, they add harmony and fullness to the piece. In a way, that?s how I think I?d add something to the staff. Quote:Originally posted by King Vejita I already have the creativity. For the life of me, I?m not sure why I didn?t add that in there. True, more is needed than just patience and willingness, such as kindness, resolve, and time. Time is never guaranteed to me, but for the most part, I have plenty of it. Kindness and resolve are tough to judge of oneself, but I consider myself adept in each virtue. But above all, leadership. For that, I will ask for any of the Team Magma members to let you know how I did. It?s another one that?s tough to judge of oneself, but they said I did a smash-up job. Quote:Originally posted by King Vejita I?ve been writing since I was five, and have been vigorously employing my mind and pushing it harder to learn new techniques. I study books, I practice at all times, and I never stop trying. I can handle the roleplaying caliber of this site just fine. Four months has been good on me, and has improved me at an astounding rate. I can not vouch for the quality of my roleplaying, but I can offer this: I will always be improving. Look at my writing now, and wait three months. It will be improved. Wait a year, and you will find much fewer faults. I will never stop the practice of writing. Quote:Originally posted by King Vejita The only actual intelligent person here? While I?m flattered, I?m certainly not worthy of such a compliment. Others in the Final Ten are certainly at my level, and perhaps higher. I haven?t failed yet, and I will not fail. When/If I get eliminated from this competition, it will not be from a dire lack of a quality (except, perhaps, experience). It will be, rather, that another will excel beyond my considerable abilities. I?m humble, but I?m also realistic. I?ve done a damn fine job thus far, and I will continue to do the job. If I haven?t impressed you yet, hold on. It?s going to get better.

Hell Fighter 17 - I work hard, I like to get things done when I feel I should, which is basically when something needs to get done.
Lord Slug - When he devotes his time he does great work and easy to work with. Pan - Whenever he does something he seems to learn from it and is a pretty good team leader. Guldo - He gives it to yea straight, I haven't always seen eye to eye with him, but I get his drift. Garlic Jr. - He seems to be a fairly moderate person, if he dedicated himself more and paid more attention to detail he would probably e way better. Android 16 - He seems to have the dedication, but I can maybe see him burning out after a while if he doesn't slow done. Krillin - A very intillectual person, fun to work with, in time he could become a great staffer. Tapion - When it is something he really wants to do he seems to do a good job, but I don't knoiw more about him without working with the guy. Metal Koola - With dedication he could probably become a great staffer. Kid Buu - He seems to work hard at what he does, but if he doesn't lighten up a bit, I could se him becoming too strict. Yamu - I think basically anybody here is ready to become staff's bitch, but I think that I can get the work done for whatever would success, whether it just be helping a staff member, my own saga, or just "being there." Well, what I would like to see his is a monthly battle royale, I would find that incredibly cool. ecause then whoever can enter and anyone can enter, but their ki would be suppressed, so they could not use ki, just pure fighting ability, a little bit like what is going in FoFII right now. Nappa - Sometimes i can see myself saying that, not sure if it would be to be cool, but I would try to make into a prcatical joke to make myself feel better about the overload of work that I know staff get. KV - I would probably try to stay away from the warning area, unless it is a definite ultimate flame of innescapeable horrific flaminess. Otherwise, I would maybe consult somebody on staff if they think the person deserves it or not, I would not be afraid to ask for guidance, even when I am a well respected staff member.
