Rap; Like it or Leave It?

Most of the youth in our nation are into rap because it gives them a sense of being "cool" and being black is the new things around, nowadays. I am young, but I look at rap from other perspectives. o_o;

And Reijin, I love you x24312525 to the max.

I despise Lil' Jon as well. He is the perfect example of how rap seems to be going downhill now. He doesn't rap, he says things over and over in his songs. The only thing I respect of Lil' Jon is some of his beats. He has crazy good beats for other rappers, but other than that, I really don't like him...at all. o_o And when you hear "What! What! Okay! YEAH!" over and over for a year, it REALLY gets old.

When it comes to Kanye West...I like him some but a couple of his songs are annoying and he is arrogant as a motha. When he didn't get an award the first time he threw a hissy fit like a little girl, he is alright, though.

But when you talked about the rented ice it reminded me of Jin, because in one of his songs he disses the industry and one of the lines was "Lookin' like Alaskins with all that rented ice you flash". Jin is known as one of the best freestylers and freestyling is difficult so if you can do that, I give you respect.

Now that I think about it, probably one of the few non metal rappers I like would be Nappy Roots (gasp). What can I say, he doesn't rap about what most other rappers do. He talks about his upbrining for what it really was here in Kentucky, even though it's a bit exaggerated (we're not all hicks).

Kanye is a good rapper, talks about real shit. G-Unit and 50 cent like solely on the beats. Em is good, some of his songs talk about real, good shit, some i love the beat. Rap is good, i like it.
