Can I ask this: why have a time jump?

The only solid answer so far has been "because it'd be cool." Tongue
O.o

There have been better grounded answers to it already..

Anyways, its logical multiple people have different opinions. The staff will have to take the way that satisfies most players.

Using that same oversimplification, I could say that the only four, maybe five people that I've seen against have said "No, b/c I want things to stay exactly the way they are and I refuse to mold my character at all." Neither are very fair.

Violet, SB, what I was meaning up there was that with you guys being against the reset, I kinda expect you to be against anything else involving the reset by nature. Similar to if you showed up at a testing area for "What kind of syrup do you want on your waffle" and you said "I don't like waffles" and then when asked about the type of syrup, you say "... I don't want syrup". So yeah, we know your stance, and are hoping to make the decision for who is best for everyone.

I'm still weirded out how there are only a couple of people that are saying against in the thread and tons for, yet the poll itself is more even (with less "for" people being shown than the posts, and more "against")

To simplify my responses: if I am not finished with my current quest when the reset takes place, and I were able to fluid time to finish it, then just roleplay from that point on about the timeskip, I would be ok with that. If i am unable to do that, then I won't be ok with it. But I guess its what everyone wants, then. I will adjust either way.

As far as I can tell, Violet, yes, you can liquid time events in the past that you deem necessary for your character. At least, liquid time in the sense that all these things "already occurred," and you can choose to revist them, or have future storylines playing off of what supposedly happened.

However, please note that whatever I say could quite possibly be untrue, therefore please refrain from castrating me if I just so happen to be incorrect. /legaldisclaimer

That will most likely be the case.

Perhaps that's why some people aren't publically showing they were the ones voting against. ?(

Is everyone uniquely voting, or using multiple computers to add votes?

Voting is based on username, not IP, or cookies or anything like that. You can vote once.

So, to clarify, again, if I am in the middle of a quest when the turnover happens, I can continue it to finish it up, then after the quest is complete, and from that point onward, I will have to play with the timeskip in effect, I can do this, right?

Of all the people to talk about over-simplification or hyperbole. *Snicker*

Besides, it was just a joke. I've already stated I'd help, wether or not I liked the idea.

And how are you weirded out? Most people vote silently. It's so as to avoid being berated for their opinions by, say, you. =\

Notice I'm specifically targeting you, or was I too vague?

But thanks for your typical 'down-talking' style. I'm sure that's very effective for getting other people to support your decisions.

Yeah, I was just trying to figure out what your big problem with me was. I was asked to begin giving my opinions and helping out again, but if you want me to get out of your way, just let me know.

Downtalking? Heh, I guess personal insults don't actually count, eh?

Quit being so passive-aggressive. If you can't just come out and say it, then shut the hell up.

You are being sarcastic, and you have been very arrogant to a couple of people who actually replied here. If pointing out the obvious is a personal insult, then I'm sorry. I never asked you to get out of the way. Opinions are welcome. Sarcasm and veiled insults aren't.

Last I checked, though, you called me a bitch. Not the other way around.

I might have to start dishing time-outs.

Attitudes of either of you two aside, which make both argument look bad I might add, I think we can make a good list here.

Pros:

Cons:

Everyone C+P and add to the list with their complaints and likes. Keeps it precise and minus the bullshit! Yay!

Pro:

-Removes logical difficulties with the sudden and violent changes that will take place.

- Provides Role playing opportunities

- Sets mental state towards starting anew

Cons:

- Inconveniences current story lines
