You also forgot to add that one of the reasons for the customs is because of the history factor with cannons. When a person playing canon that had a big impact and was popular throughout the universe and a new person gets it, they tend to asct as if their cahracter never did it. And it made things confusing.

I am staying Gokua for after the reset. Will I be able to carry over my character vault and my IC relationships with other people that decide to stay canon? What's this about "reposting all the old roleplays" thing? In order to do that, we'd have to be able to repost every roleplay on the board, including sagas, to be the most fair.

Or we could simply lock this forum and archive it, giving a link to it for easy access and continue on the new board. Since we are going to be seven years in the future. Which is what we've said since the beginning (archiving this and continuing on).

We've said multiple times that we are keeping all the history saved, including your old roleplays, and are continuing on a different board. We are NOT resetting the world history, AGAIN. Storywise, all that's happening is your character is most likely seven years older. Using the storyline we are going to do, THAT isn't even really accurate, as your character will be the same age or older than seven years, whichever you wish. You won't be able to be "younger" after the Time Skip though.

So for stuff like "Also, I'd love for my roleplays (Directly Personal RPs, which progressed my character) to still be able to be reposted, since it's for Gokua's story. =P" its a completely unnecessary step since its already part of your story and still linked on this board.

Not douching anyone, since my posts always seem to get twisted that way, just clarifying due to obvious confusion out there.

So then they make a big impact in their character development, and then go inactive. Then, later on a new person comes and applies as that same canon after the turnover, but changes up the character history. Won't it have the same effect as it does now? Canon histories would be changed up all the time if canon players kept going inactive.

People won't be able to join as canon characters after the turnover for that exact reason.

But you aren't able to join as a canon character after the turnover. O.o So I don't get how it applies.

Well, if someone is roleplaying a canon, and go inactive, can they reapply as that same canon?

What if they switch to a custom and then want to switch back?

That's actually a situation we are working on.

Oh, I see. That's a good idea. So basically you can only play as a canon if you choose to play as a canon before the turnover actually begins. I didn't know that, sorry if my question sounded stupid.

And as for switching to custom then switching back to canon, I don't think that would be a good idea. It could possibly work out but maybe it would get a little frustrating/confusing at points. And if they were going to switch to custom and then switch back, then why would they have even switched to custom in the first place? It should be one of those things where you just stick with a final decision and that's that.

We've already been told we'll be able to keep control of our current chars as NPCs in addition to customs, so would it be possible to rp my custom in my current Cell rp? The seven years timeline would fit in nicely. Granted, this wouldn't occur until we know a set time for turnover, since I don't want too much of the custom beforehand, just possibly a little hinting to give my character some history at the start with Cell.

You can create a custom character to tag along with Cell or whatever, yes, as an NPC. Until the turnover actually happens, though, Cell would remain your primary character.

I actually went about and redesigned my own custom saiyan to look like Kollifum so any art that was drawn of him from now until...whenever...can be used on this RP. So far it's worked pretty well, so even when the turn over comes around, I'll be using the same character.

That being said, I kinda wonder, would there ever be a really challenging saga, sorta like DA, where we all fought to see who of us could have a small portion of our current statistical information converted to the new RP?

Not saying I'd suggest it, but just wondering if it's been considered, or if it's even possible with the new system.
