There are tons of better entertainers than CM Punk. MVP, Finlay, Carlito, Mr. Kennedy, Shelton Benjamin, Rey Mysterio, Shawn Michaels just to name a few... Heck, I'd even prefer John Cena over Punk. Although I must give him props, his mic skills are improving day after day.

CM Punk had money in the bank therefore he was the only viable contender to get the title back on Raw. Now, i have to agree that i wouldn't have given him the title so early, but I also think that adds to his appeal. CM Punk can lose to practically anyone on Raw. I can see him losing to Cena, Orton, JBL, Kane, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Micheals, etc. Thats why he will have such an awesome title run, because it will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Now im gonna have to disagree with you on his talents as well. CM Punk is a god on the mic especially when he is a heel, but he hasnt really been given too much talk time yet, but seeing as he is champion we should see that go up. He is an excellent performer, better than Carlito. Shelton Benjamin lacks the charisma to be champion yet, but he sure will win the United States Title bank on that. Finlay is too old and he is around for use as a savvy veteran, he will always feud for the big one, but never win. Kennedy is on SD! as well as MVP. Micheals will probably get it one more time before he retires, but he too will be gone soon.

Punk was the perfect choice for this, seeing as he was the only choice. I believe that he will prove to everyone that he has what it takes and we should see him have a 4 month title reign at least before losing to Batista.

Thank you, someone is actually back me up on this. I actually don't see where CM Punk is entertaining. I can see that he is constantly improving, but the championship should not be with him.

And to back myself up on the Raw without a championship thing, it could be cool. Maybe a second invasion storyline. I mean, WWE nowadays is such a joke, and everybody is saying that it's not as it was back then. That's because the storylines are always half-assed and self-explainatory. Back in the 90s, a champion can drop a title in a house show, but now it's like theres some sort of rule that it has to be dropped in a PPV. That makes it so predictable which is not the reason that we watch wrestling. I know that wrestling fans that aren't stupid, knows that everything is completely scripted, and it's all up to the storyline writers to really know how good one evening's show is. The entertainers are great, but the same old shit, over and over, it's not that different from Cena's year reigns.

He has wrestled in other places other than the WWE. He is considered a hero among Indy fans. And yes Krillin, i know wrestling is fake, but it isnt meant to be real. It is meant to entertain like a play. Thats really all it is. Two guys going out there and performing for a crowd. They take a heated feud wheter over a title, vengeance, women, greed, etc and they turn it into a battle. Good guys and bad guys just like the movies. ^_^

In the indy federations guys dont really have gimmicks, so he just went in with his real life persona. I believe he does a hell of a job doing so. WWE kept him in the gimmich because he knew people already knew the guy from past work and WWE was having some serious steroid and drug issues, and who better to be in the company than Straight edge drug free CM Punk?
