Vampire Traits
#21
Why not make a best move where you suck the opponents blood, it harms them, but doesnt heal you or anything, maybe make you full. He did it in the anime, he bit Krillin and made him dizzy.

That and then get spiritken so you can Turn.

Here's another one, although it would probably only be considered effective against NPCs (and even then, telepathy).

Vamps are known for thier mind games and illusions. Some cloak their typically hideous bodies with a veil of mental projection called glamour. Its like magical makeup, pretty much. But as far as I know, only vamps and fey can use this, so I guess it would be considered a trait, since it would fall into heightned mental senses.

Android 18's suggestion seems like a fairly decent compromise.

BJ, tha's cool and everything, but might I ask why?

Dracula, you can RP your character with any personality and (to some degree) appearance you want. Why do you need this so badly?

I wouldn't be against Bra's idea if I didn't side with Rei on this whole thing. =\

You are wrong about the looks for him.

Why not consider incorporating the vampirism into his creative part instead of his powers? Example would be that you could write him as a aristocratical person that tends to be very refined, likes to drink blood from wine glasses while holding large parties, uses his own vampire strength as his explaination to why he has superhuman strength, etc. Everyone is special in their own way. So to be a vampire and wanting superhuman strength (example), you have that with your stats. The avg human is a Ki level of 5. So to the avg human, you are a demigod. You could even give him quirks like "he tends to shun sunlight and pulls a dark cloak around him during the day, shrouding him away". He can go stalking humans during sagas to "heal himself" just for giving you that bonus for creatively writing, without us literally going "attention all, Dracula is now at 100% health because he drained blood, meaning his traits kicked in and you are all still weak".

We don't allow Saiyans the "heals from painful wounds to be even stronger" trait, for example. Obviously we are trying to avoid further encouraging people to join as Saiyans, but I mean, we have to leave ourselves ground to expand upon in the future as well.

EDIT: I see COUNTLESS opportunities to make your character cool within the rules you have been given. I don't see a reason to break our own rules for special bonus perks as far as gameplay is concerned. I'm sorry.

I mean weight/clothing wise. And grooming. I remember Rad telling a Yajirobe that specifically.

EDIT: Bra is my friend. HF you hurt me. ='(

It'll be god-moded, in this particular instance. Remember the old Bebi at DA?

Hence character and staff approval. Otherwise, I'd be laughing at the idea.

You told us not to let you switch for a year. We're holding to that.

My personal thoughts on the matter: Go roleplay. Stop asking for stupid abilities and traits for your character, and GO WRITE POSTS.

My AIM is open, always, but at this point your situation has escalated to the point that only admins can make final calls on it.

To my understanding, the "Question - Anybody" tag means that anyone is allowed to answer a question, not to provoke the person asking. If all your post serves to do is agitate the questioner (no matter who is asking the question), it's spam, so back up off.

Listen to Reijin. You don't need a special ability that gives you some advantage in order to have a unique character.

Look at all the successful humans on the RPG. Krillin, does he have some 'special power' other than being stronger than the average human? No. Does that stop him having a unique character? No. And that's just to name one. People like BJ, Violet, Zarbon, Videl, etc etc etc, have no 'special traits' and they get along just fine.

I'm not sure what you meant by "humans can "Bulk Up" as well as use an array of Spirit Attacks". They can't do anything you can't.

You're looking for Racial Traits for you to use as a power up thing?

Racial Traits basically equal power ups on this RPG. Saiyans have the monkey thing, which is what x5/x10. Changelings have transformations, Namekians have regeneration (naturally), and non-transformers (aka you and others) have the ability to be like shazaam uber spirit! and its x10/x20. So really, you have to earn the ability to unlock the racial trait, you can't simplly have it like wham.

Heres a nice idea.

Spiritken, earn it. Then to make it more vampiric, use it so once you have Spiritken, it is triggered through sucking blood. You suck blood of say, the PC you are fighting, and then wham, you're full of vigor and strength (like Vampires feel after they feed, supernatural) and the blood sucking gives you said boost from Spiritken. That sounds pretty good to me.

PS: If I'm simply repeating, tell me. I tried to read the entire thread, but I'm tired so i mighta missed some.

...That was my point. You can't god-mod something that has to be approved by staff and the victim. I'm pretty sure Drac was aware of that stipulation.

Basically, he'd have to get the go-ahead before he writes his RP.

Like: "I'm gonna bite SSJ2 Rad and beat him, cool?" "No. Not cool."

But if he, like, somehow beat the fuck out of Rad, or if Rad just finished a fight with The Awesome League and was already fucked up, then maybe it would be cool. Know what I'm sayin' dawg?
