Oh, yeah. I mean, I have a basic understanding of the rules and whatnot, but I've never actually played a game.

The best 'learning' I've ever gotten on the subject was on D&D based video games, and since they calculate everything -for- you, it's a bit... different.

Like I said, you can ask me whatever you want about the game. I've more than a few campaigns under my belt. I'll even help you pick a race and class, as well as the best stats to go with that particular arrangment, if you want.

I'd like to get started tonight, but it's up to GJ. How long it'll take... well, a good campaign can take a few months to play through. It depends on how interested the players are in their characters. If they really like how the game plays, it can last years.

Can I be a knight? I was lookng at the phb bu only see paladin and warrior

The Knight class is in the PHb 2, and I don't see why it'd be a problem.

If you you just want to call youself a knight without the class features, either the Paladin or Fighter class will work fine.

The way things usually go, you'll only have about half of them online when it's time to play anyway, so it's all good.
