Custom Technique Names

So, I'm thinking of a name for a technique. Another custom technique employing the same name already exists. Must I create a new name, as the name is already claimed, or does this work on a per character basis in which names don't matter because there is no crossover anyway?

E: Unless of course the techniques accomplish the same thing. You're then allowed to ask the person who owns it if you could buy the same kind of technique under the same name. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Is the owner of the technique even active? That should be taken into account, I'd think.

You could always ask Mal to use the name otherwise might I suggest calling it "Conjure?"
