On PC you have better party control, you can pause and order everyone to run to a different location. On console, the only way to move someone besides ordering them to attack a monster in a specific location is to take control of them and move them yourself (whilst the other 3 party members rush in to attack the only remaining alive enemies in the middle of a fuckoff lightning storm).

I actualy place this on my laptop and i like being able to scroll out and play all diabloesque style. It really makes it easiar cuz you can see eneimies in other room in some locations and it makes being actical alot better as well.

I... uh... definitely don't use tactics. Like, at all. Is that a bad thing?
xD.

Shit, even I use tactics. Though I don't really get meticulous over it, just basic; >90% health use a potion, use crushing prison on the toughest target, ect...

I found it a bit tedious.

The High Dragon was a pain without it. I died horribly then tried with tactics. >.>

Finally have all the treaties.
Choosing who to side with between the Dalish or the Werewolves was tough. I'm trying to play the good guy, but it wasn't that straight forward a choice. I ended up killing the Werewolfs... I just found out you could have got Zathrian to lift the curse, if I had known beforehand I probably would have chose that option, but whatever.
Oh, regarding tactics and other crazy mind tricks;
In the fight that Saz was talking about, if you pick Zathrian to lift the curse he'll fight back until you literally beat sense into him. To ensure a 'fair' fight, with Alistair you can use Cleanse to remove the force fields and get everyone on your side. Pretty straight forward fight then.
I have two questions.
Question 1: I'm about to call the Landsmeet, how much left of the main story is there approximately?
Question 2: I currently have equipped my character with the Vanguard (Branka's mace), which has 7.5 damage, 3 strength, 3 constitution and 2 stamina regeneration during combat. It's served me well for a while, but uhh, I prefer swords (they're way cooler srsly), so I see the Saw Sword on sale; 11.20 damage, +1 damage, and something else, I think +1 armour penetration, oh and it has 3 free slots (the Vanguard has 2).
So which weapon is better, or maybe more what I'm wondering is how much more superior is the Vanguard, would it be a big downgrade if I switched to the Saw Sword?

And I'm no more pro than anyone else at weapon comparison. Just depends on whether damage dealing or tanking is more important to that character, I guess.

No I've just arrived in Denerim, so looks like I still have a bit left to go. I'll just have to try and cram, stop playing other games for a bit and just focus on DA, then I might have it finished in time for FF13.

Finiiiiiished.
Funnily enough I got both the "a deadly promise" and "The ultimate sacrifice" achievements. I can only assume it's because originally I chose to decline Morrigan's offer, but when I realised she was going to leave the party, considering that she was one of my strongest party members I decided to reload and choose the other option. Whatever it was I'm not complaining.
I enjoyed the game, the story was good. The repetitive combat let it down a bit, that was probably partly my own fault for choosing to be a tank. All the big battles essentially boiled down to me using taunt and just trying to hold off the boss while my other party members got rid of the lackies. If I ever decide to play through it again, which I probably won't, I'd be a mage, that seems to be where all the fun's at.
Also anyone notice Sten's "The cake is a lie" quip at the end?

Also anyone notice Sten's "The cake is a lie" quip at the end? Only problem with mage is that because you choose your own spells you become ridiculously overpowered if you have the faintest idea of what enemies you're going to face. Not to mention OP Arcane Warrior.
I still haven't got to finishing this game because something gay happens after 2 hours of play or something that makes me ragequit.
